STEP 1: Come for a visit
You can bring your aluminum cans and plastic bottles in whatever bags you like. But for our employees' safety, glass must be separated into cardboard boxes or totes and will not be accepted in bags.
STEP 2: COUNT 'EM UP
We will count items individually or by using our can-o-meter. You can also let us know how many cans and bottles you have for redemption and we'll double check your count.
I will never go to Hy-Vee's disgusting bottle rooms again.
Ames Bottle and Can are hands down the best place I have ever used for can and bottle recycling. The staff was very friendly and facilities were very clean. I chose to have them count my bottles for me and get paid via venmo. I was there for less than 5 min!
